Question: Q: Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 Bootcamp help? On my previous Mac, I was able to partition my harddrive and run Windows, including games and programs based exclusively for Windows. I attempted to do that with my newer Mac (Late 2011 model), with OS X Lion installed (Windows XP), and I seem to have lost my disc to install the lion drivers on. Lion users now feel more compatible and secure within the new OS x 10.7.5 update. Now you will have a number of fixes and improvements in this updated version. Can your Mac use Sierra?

macOS Sierra requires one of the following Mac models and versions of OS X. It also requires at least 2GB of memory and 8.8GB of storage space.

Get Sierra from the App Store

Before upgrading, it's a good idea to back up your Mac. Then follow these steps:

  1. Open the App Store app on your Mac.
  2. Search the App Store for macOS Sierra, or go directly to the macOS Sierra page.
  3. Click the Download button on the macOS Sierra page. A file named Install macOS Sierra downloads to your Applications folder.
  4. After download is complete, Install macOS Sierra opens automatically. (You can also open it from the Applications folder, Launchpad, or Spotlight.) Click Continue and follow the onscreen instructions.
