GnuGk 5.8 released
GnuGk 5.8 has been released (Download).The GNU Gatekeeper (GnuGk) is a H.323 gatekeeper, available freely under GPL license. It forms the basis for IP telephony (VOIP) or video conferencing systems. Please read the manual (especially the tutorial) and the FAQ for general information what a gatekeeper does or take a look at some VOIP and H.323 books to get into the subject. H.323 & SIP Protocols. Based on supporting standard H.323 and SIP protocols, Yealink VC Desktop stands out in greater compatibility with Yealink Meeting Server, room system, video phone, mobile, etc., whether from Yealink or other manufacturers, further contributing to flexibility and efficiency.

Requirements:- Server for MiaRec (see Recommended server)
- Network Switch with Port Mirroring support (see A list of Switches with port mirroring)
Unobtrusive packet sniffing technology is used for call recording. A network switch with port mirroring function should be installed between H.323-based IP PBX and IP phones as shown on below diagram.

On the switch a port mirroring function should be configured in the following way:
- IP PBX port should be configured as a source for port mirroring session.
- MiaRec port should be configured as a destination for port mirroring session.
